Our History

“Old Radnor” started as a “class meeting” in 1780. Meeting in the home of the James family.

This was replaced 50 years later (1834) by the present stone structure in which we still worship today.

The people called Methodists acquired the present site of the church in1783. In 1784 the first meeting house built of logs was erected.

Over the years electricity, indoor plumbing, central heat, air conditioning, and an elevator were introduced into the building.

Thus, our church is a combination of both old and new, bringing the eternal truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ to a new and changing world.

In 1952 the educational wing was added and was expanded in 1968 and 1993. This is our present church.
